pokalbių programa statusas T sritis informatika apibrėžtis Programa, leidžianti prisijungti prie ↑pokalbių internetu serverio (tinklo) ir ↑pokalbių kanalo ir siųsti ↑žinutes pokalbio dalyviams. Gali atlikti ir daug kitų veiksmų: parinkti slapyvardį, kurį matys kiti pokalbio dalyviai, sukurti naują pokalbių kanalą, pakviesti pašnekovą asmeniniam pokalbiui, pasirinkti teksto vaizdavimo būdą, sudaryti stebimų žodžių sąrašą ir įspėti apie šių žodžių vartojimą pokalbyje, sudaryti slapyvardžių sąrašą ir tikrinti, ar jais pasivadinę asmenys yra prisijungę prie pokalbių tinklo, siųsti komandas į pokalbių serverį, paprašyti jį informacijos apie pokalbių dalyvius, nustatyti, kad paleidžiant pokalbių programą būtų savaime prisijungiama prie mėgstamiausių pokalbių kanalų arba pradedamas asmeninis pokalbis ir kt.
